Learning German through the friendly and accommodating team at Soft Landing has enabled me to create a learning program unique to my needs.
Whilst I had no prior experience of German before arriving in Switzerland Soft Landing enabled me to build on the Dutch I had learnt from expat years spent in The Netherlands.
The small group sizes have meant we are able to move forward at a pace that works for us all and we are easily able to schedule our lessons around our various needs.
By way of Harry’s course book I have appreciated both having an explanation, particularly of the grammar topics, available in English and having a locally relevant slant to our learning program.
Harry’s hands-on learning style has encouraged us to get out and use our language… visiting local businesses and using our newly acquired German.
I have found this approach very rewarding
They have been very – emphasis on “very” – accommodating with our hectic and erratic schedules, and have a lot of talented and motivated teachers. We have a bi-lingual Czech/English 6 year old that Soft Landing has done a wonderful job of tutoring in German as a supplement to his public school lessons (we are not native German speakers), as well my wife (who has an academic background in German) and myself (who has no experience in the German language at all).
Different ages, different cultures, and different skill sets. None of it presented a problem to the staff at Soft Landing. They had something for us all.
We highly recommend them.
For an absolute novice learning German, Softlanding have been the perfect partner.
Offering a very flexible and tailored experience my German language is progressing well, equipping me to deal with real day to day scenarios.
I was a little worried moving to a different country and integrating into the local community but the course has really made the process a lot easier.
The tutors I have met are all very knowledgeable, very friendly and will always keen to support you by spending longer on areas which you may find more difficult.
You get a feeling they take pride in teaching you and want you to truly understand rather then trying to complete the course as quickly as possible or teaching you just enough to pass an exam (which was the case I felt when learning at school in the UK).
I have been taking German classes at Soft Landing for 2 years now. The teachers are all professional and enthusiastics.
The class content is customized and up-to-date. Harry knows exactly how to match students and teachers. The classes are interesting and diverse.
We learn also about the Swiss culture.
I successfully passed the B2 exam and am now preparing for the C1 exam. I’d like to say that I enjoy my classes with Soft Landing very much and that I strongly recommend the school.
My 13 year old daughter has been taking private French lessons with Martine at Soft Landing.
I chose Soft Landing as I knew that the level of tuition that I was going to receive for her was going to be 1st class.
Coming from Australia her level of French was very poor compared to the standard of her class mates at her new school.
I enlisted the services of Soft Landing to work one on one with her to give her the boost she needed.
After only a few short months her grades has substantially risen and she is now enjoying French.
Thank you Martine and Soft Landing
Thanks to Soft Landing, I am able to have a conversation in German and, best of all, I can be understood!
I enjoyed private classes and also conversation group classes with Harry.
Soft Landing gave me the tools, to help me be more integrated in Switzerland and it was fun!
I obtained the A2 Goethe certificate.
